PrayerCenter - View Prayer Listing

Prayer is the practice of the presence of God. It is the place where pride is abandoned, hope is lifted, and supplication is made. Prayer is the place of admitting our need, of adopting humility, and claiming dependence upon God. Prayer is the needful practice of the Christian. Prayer is the exercise of faith and hope. Prayer is the privilege of touching the heart of the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil. 4:6-7

Father, in Your mercy, hear our prayers.

Prayer List

We currently are expecting our fourth child, a girl, and have been dealing with many medical issues with the pregnancy.
We have been traveling to KC to have high-risk ultrasounds and fetal echo-cardiograms performed. The cardiologist and doctors have informed us that the baby has several problems.
1. She has an unexplainable irregular heartbeat
2. She has Atrial Septal Disease (ASD) which means there is a hole in the wall separating the upper chambers (left and right Atrium) of the heart that should not be there
3. She has Ventrical Septal Disease (VSD) which means that there is a hole in the wall separating the lower chambers (left and right Ventricals) of the heart

They told us that 9 out of 10 babies that have the holes in the heart in the location of hers, also have Down Syndrome. Therefore, there is a good chance that the baby may also have Down Syndrome.

I (mother) am also carrying more amniotic fluid than regular, about three times the regular amount (so I am much larger and uncomfortable than normal). This makes it difficult for me to breathe, and may cause preterm labor. The cause is unknown, but it seems the baby may not be swallowing properly.

We have three little boys (twins age 3 and baby age 1) and this is becoming a difficult challenge to deal with. Each time we go to the doctor, it seems we get more bad news. The baby was fine at the initial 20 wk ultrasound and everything has changed since then.
My husband and I are both Christians and we know that God has this situation under control. We also know that He has a plan for all of us, but that He loves us and hears our prayers!
We just ask that you pray for our situation and pray that this baby does not have Down Syndrome or heart defects at birth!! We know God can answer our prayers!!
Thank you so much.
