What an exciting time to be a part of FBC Warrensburg! Parents and children are finding FBC a wonderful place to “Enjoy God”, “Connect With Others”, and “Share Their Life”! There are many challenges that go along with providing a successful children’s ministry. The Kids Zone ministers to just over 300 children every Sunday. We continue to see first time visiting families nearly weekly. We have approximately 90 volunteers signed up to help on Sunday morning. On any given Sunday we need almost a dozen more people per service to take on helper roles for these teachers who have committed to serve on a regular basis.

In order to meet these needs we are asking parents of children in our ministry to volunteer one hour on a Sunday Morning each month. Your week will be assigned to you depending on your last name (see below for details). We are asking that on your designated Sunday your show up at the Children’s Ministry Information Desk to find your room assignment.  It will be your choice which service you report to help, but we are asking you to report. Some weeks you may not be used and some weeks you will. We feel that a once a month commitment is not too much to ask and we really do need your help.

The staff here at FBC feels that it is vital for parent involvement in their children’s spiritual growth. Along with your child’s involvement in this ministry, we also feel YOU the parent play a vital role in this ministry as well.  Not only does it create “teachable moments” for parents and children, it also creates a model for parents by giving real life examples of how to discuss biblical teachings and learn to talk and pray with your own children.  When a parent understands what their child is learning on Sunday morning, a better opportunity to continue conversations about the lesson at home can be created.  Our goal is to keep biblical truths at the forefront of discussion not only on Sunday morning, but throughout the week as well. We ask that parents of regular attending children serve on a monthly rotation based on the alphabet and your last name. Rest assured, you will never be left in charge of the children-this is merely an opportunity for you to experience Christ in a family environment.  We hope to see you at 8:45 am or 10:30am, it’s your choice. We only ask that you come ready to have some fun.

If you are currently serving in the Children’s Ministry on a weekly basis, you do not need to report for additional service.
